Pedro Palma participated in the XVIII Encontro Nacional de Municípios com Centro Histórico, an encounter for representatives of all the Portuguese municipalities with an historic center that took place in Fórum Municipal Romeu Correia, in Almada.
Pedro did a presentation titled: "Estratégias Municipais para o Combate à Pobreza Energética - Da Investigação ao Projeto" [Municipal Strategies for Energy Poverty Mitigation - From Research to Project], in the session "Positive and Negative Impacts of Tourism: Environmentally, Socially and Economically". The presentation focus on the current context of energy poverty in Portugal, vulnerabilities in the historic centers, the importance of regional and local analyses for diagnosing this issue and finally the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub project, talking about the goals and activities of the project and emphasizing the possibility for local governments to apply for receiving specialized support, challenging the attendants to apply in the next technical assistance call. After the presentations, a lively Q&A session took place before the session came to an end.
