The 17th edition of EXPO FCT, organized by the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon, took place at the Caparica Campus on April 30.

This Open Day, designed to showcase the Faculty and its educational offerings, aimed to support pre-university students in choosing a higher education path through demonstrations and activities in the fields of Science, Engineering, and Technology. The event involved Departments, Research Centers, and Student Association groups, highlighting various scientific, technological, and educational aspects.

Throughout the day, high school students and teachers had access to experiments, lab visits, and many other activities designed to spark curiosity and interest in the various career paths offered at the school. Plenty of fun moments also showed the academic atmosphere of a campus with unique characteristics in Portugal.

Once again, we took part in it under the activities of our Department of Environmental Engineering, bringing to the campus the OSS Ponto de Transição and showcasing our research, policy support, and on-the-ground action on energy poverty, building energy effciency, and just energy transitions.

EXPO FCT was an excellent opportunity to present the work carried out under the LIFE projects Locatee, ENTRACK, HORIS, and EPAH, and interact directly with secondary school students, teachers, and other faculty members.
