From the 19th to the 23rd of November 2022, Miguel was one of the 45 young Europeans from 20 countries selected to be amongst the participants of the first ever European Youth Energy Forum in Lisbon, where the group reached key milestones in bringing youth closer to the energy sector. The event provided a space to connect youth in the European energy transition, giving them a unified voice. The group developed a position paper resulting from the event containing 12 concrete proposals to improve youth engagement in the European energy transition, spanning three areas: Policy Making, Knowledge Transfer and Education, and Market and Private Sector.
