On the 21st and 22nd of October, Miguel Macias Sequeira participated as a speaker at the event "Local Conference of Youth Portugal", organized by the association Youth Climate Leaders (YCL), with the presentation "The urgency of an energy transition: Challenges and opportunities". The LCOYs are the national version of the international Conference of Youth (COY) that takes place every year before the Conference of the Parties (COP) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), being the first time that this event was held in Portugal. The event took place on the 21st in a face-to-face format at Casa do Impacto in Lisbon and on the 22nd in an online format.
